Rental Terms & Conditions

  • While our inventory is extensive, reservations are recommended in order to guarantee the items wanted. You will be asked to provide a credit card number at the time you reserve. Until a deposit is paid, the order is not considered guaranteed. This means that we do NOT hold the rental items for your use until we receive the required deposit amount.
  • Changes (reductions and cancellations) must be made 72  hours prior to delivery or pick-up. A 50% restocking fee applies to any items decreased or cancelled within 48 hours of delivery or pick-up. All staging, dance floors, cooking equipment and sinks are subject to a 50% cancellation charge if cancelled less than 30 days in advance. Tenting deposits are  non refundable.
  • Most prices are quoted for a one day rental, which includes a day to pick-up, one day of use and one day to return. If you wish to rent items for an extended time, please call the office for rates.
  • All rental charges are for time out, whether the rentals are used or not.
  • A non-refundable damage waiver is charged on all rental items excluding tents and tent extras. The damage waiver covers rental items that are damaged through normal use. All broken and damaged items, including broken glassware and china, must be returned to Salmons Rentals and Apex Tents, for the damage waiver to apply. The damage waiver does not cover loss, negligence, improper use or intentional damage.
  • Examples of items covered by damage waiver: Accidental damage such as chips, cracks or broken china and glassware. Small pulls or stains on linen and skirting.
  • Examples of items not covered on damage waiver: Any item not returned (including racks and crates), molded linen or any wax on linen, holes or grease in linen, excessive amounts of breakage( negligence) or damages from improper use of equipment.
  • If the damage waiver is declined the full replacement cost for any missing items and damaged items will be charged to the credit card associated with the contract.
  • The damage waiver will cover the first $100.00 of broken or damaged items and 50% of any additional damage or breakage.
  • Damage waiver does not cover lost or stolen items as replacement charges will be refunded if missing items are returned within 30 days.
  • Delivery is available at an extra charge. These charges are based on DOOR to DOOR service with normal access. Please inform us at the time your reservation is made if there are any stairs or difficult access involved.
  • All deliveries are made between 8am and 5pm. Customers are welcome to call on the day to inquire about drop off times. If specific delivery times or after hours are necessary then additional charges will apply. We will make our best effort to deliver at requested times, however delivery times are not guaranteed in the event of traffic, weather, workload and other circumstances that are beyond the control of the driver.
  • Set up and take down is available for an additional charge and arrangements must be made prior to delivery and pick-up.
  • Prior to pick-up or return, all equipment should be free of food and repacked in the same containers received. Linens MUST be dry and free of garbage to prevent mildew and staining. Tables and chairs are to be knocked down, stacked and ready to be picked-up.
  • Responsibility for rental items remains with the customer from the time of receipt to the time of return. Customers are responsible for all breakage, damaged and lost equipment including containers, glass racks and linen bags. All items should be secured and protected from harmful weather conditions.
  • If you are unable to be present for a delivery please let us know ahead of time. We will leave the equipment in a mutually acceptable area such as a carport or porch.
  • If you discover any missing or damaged items upon receipt, you must contact us immediately by calling (604)420-3773 so we can rectify the error.If it is after store hours please leave a message or call after hours emergency line. Any Damages or Shortages MUST be reported before your event. We cannot accept disputes after an event is over.
